Dec 21, 2024 · I am confident that Microsoft will fix the bug. In the meantime, I'm happily using the latest Intel Graphics driver and will ignore the extension failure to install. No use messing with show/hide software that isn't supported now or trying to mess with system files.

Dec 12, 2024 · At first the Microsoft corporation app (with red logo) was perfectly operational and from there I could easily change from my personal to school account. and see the dashboard of apps available for each account, e.g co pilot, automate apps etc. it then stopped working and gives me a blank white page when I open it. Restarting wouldn't work.

Jan 24, 2025 · I received a new Microsoft Windows Update today, January 23, 2025 called "Microsoft Corporation - Extension - 2.0.13.0" see screenshot. I then wanted to Microsoft Bing search the update for the release notes and the only result is an explicit **** site. See the other attached screenshot. Googling it doesn't return any relevant results.

I will also be contacting my state's attorney general's office, local news media, and every social media platform about the way Microsoft is letting this ongoing fraud continue without interest in closing it out.

Oct 8, 2022 · For Microsoft published binaries we have an additional validation step that confirms whether or not the binary is in a protected system folder. For ProgramData this is not the case. The Windows Defender folder however IS locked down so I'm just waiting for confirmation from Mark R. that it's OK to add this and I'll get the fix updated.
