Here’s my method for teaching preschoolers to write their names, starting with just the first letter to build their confidence. On our name writing sheets—available at preschoolvibes.com—I mark their first letter and full name at the top. Each sheet features the first letter in yellow in the first few boxes, with a black starting dot and a guiding line, which is more effective than simple dot tracing. Once they master their first letter, we flip the dry erase pocket to practice the entire name.
