One of the least seen owls in Orange County, western screech owls are small, quiet, and very well camouflaged! You are more likely to hear one than see one, but here’s a video we got of one to share! Even if you were to look at one, you still probably wouldn’t even notice it. These owls primarily hunt rodents and insects and have an average lifespan of 1-8 years.
